Job summary

Altia is seeking a Senior Front-end Software Engineer (Angular) to join our team on international projects supporting European public policies. You will design and develop scalable front-end solutions using Angular, HTML5, and JavaScript, modernising legacy apps and contributing to code quality and security.

You will work with a modern stack, build reusable UI components, and participate in CI/CD automation while collaborating with colleagues across Europe to deliver high-impact digital

Qualifications

• University degree at EQF Level 6 (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) with 17+ years IT experience.
• Fluent English or French, spoken and written, minimum B2.
• Proficient in Angular 18+, TypeScript, Bootstrap, and build tools.
• Experience developing complex modular client-side apps and Web Components.
• Familiar with REST, OAuth and OpenID Connect for web security.
• Git, Jira, Confluence and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Responsive/adaptive design, SEO and accessibility.
• Knowledge of WebSockets, Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Front-end testing with Jest, Karma, Cypress or similar.

The project

Join an international project focused on the development, maintenance and modernisation of complex web applications supporting European public policies, programmes and regulatory processes.

You will contribute to the design and development of scalable front-end solutions, working with Angular, HTML5 and JavaScript. The role involves modernising legacy applications, improving software quality and security, developing reusable UI components, integrating CI/CD pipelines and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• University degree at EQF Level 6 (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) and at least 17 years of professional IT experience; alternatively, a secondary education qualification granting access to higher education and 22 years of professional IT experience.
• Very good command of English or French, spoken and written, minimum B2.
• Angular 18 or higher, TypeScript, Bootstrap, and build tools such as Angular CLI, Webpack or Vite.
• Development of complex, modular client-side applications, Web Components and state management patterns.
• Web security, authentication and authorisation: OAuth and OpenID Connect.
• Git, Jira, Confluence and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Responsive/adaptive design, design principles, SEO and accessibility.
• REST, asynchronous operations, multithreading, WebSockets, Kafka—or equivalent technologies—events and queues.
• Front-end testing: Jest, Karma, Cypress or other unit and integration testing tools.
• Knowledge of eUI and CQRS is valued.
