Job summary

Altia seeks a Back-End Software Engineer to join a multinational team delivering enterprise applications for a major European agency. You will design and implement scalable services using Java, Spring Boot, CQRS/Saga patterns, and microservices in AWS-cloud environments.

Required: 12+ years IT experience, strong Java/J2EE background, APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger), Kafka/JMS, Docker/Kubernetes, security with OpenID Connect/JWT, and English or French at B2+ level.

The project

Join an international project for a major European agency, contributing to the development and maintenance of modern enterprise applications.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional IT experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, Axon, microservices, event-driven architectures, CQRS, and Saga patterns.
• Experience with Kafka, JMS, REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, API Gateways, Git/GitFlow, CI/CD, and cloud-native development, particularly AWS.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, Docker/Kubernetes, observability and APM tools, including OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with application security, including OpenID Connect, JWT, certificates, and code quality/security tools.
• English or French: B2 or higher, both spoken and written.
