DSV is seeking a Freight Forwarder Road in Puurs to optimize resources and coordinate road transport orders. The role involves data collection, order entry, trip planning, and assigning tasks to drivers while ensuring client satisfaction.

You will work in a global logistics environment with opportunities for growth and exposure to international operations. A permanent contract and fringe benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum first experience in a Freight Forwarding role within road transportation.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (speaking and writing).
• Knowledge of proprietary operational procedures and a Transport Management System (TMS).

Responsabilités

• Collect data on transport orders.
• Enter transport orders in the proprietary system.
• Plan trips and assign transport tasks.
• Outsource transport assignments to subcontractors.
• Confirm orders with clients and assign to drivers.
• Follow up on assignments during and after execution.
• Prepare documents for trip planning.

Strive to optimise the efficiency of available resources (drivers, trucks and capacity), taking into account priorities and constraints, such that the customer and employer are satisfied.

Tasks

• Collection of data on transport orders;
• Entry of transport orders in the proprietary system;
• Planning of trips;
• Outsourcing transport assignments to subcontractors;
• Confirming orders to the client;
• Assigning transport assignments to drivers according to priorities and available resources;
• Follow-up of assignments, both during and after execution;
• Completing the necessary documents to enable the execution of the trip planning.
