Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Freelance Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate multiple engineering workstreams on a large-scale industrial project in Belgium. The role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of industrial installations, and tight collaboration with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Civil) and demonstrates proven experience managing complex projects, planning, budgeting

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Civil).
• Proven experience coordinating complex engineering projects within an industrial or production environment.
• Strong technical understanding of industrial installations and engineering processes.
• Experience with project planning, budget monitoring and coordinating multiple technical stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive, structured approach with the ability to maintain oversight of several parallel workstreams.
• Good command of Dutch and English. Candidates who speak English only will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities across multiple industrial projects and workstreams.
• Monitor project planning, milestones, budgets, costs and overall progress.
• Align the different engineering disciplines and ensure effective collaboration between technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering activities with construction works, equipment installation and project execution.
• Identify potential risks, technical dependencies and planning conflicts, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with engineers, contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Follow up on project deliverables and ensure activities remain aligned with agreed timelines and budgets.
• Support the transition from the current project phase towards equipment installation and commissioning.
