Michael Page is seeking a Freelance Commercial Business Controller for a leading international FMCG organization with a strong presence in Belgium and the Netherlands. You will lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, and partner with senior stakeholders to optimize costs and profitability.

The role requires 5+ years in controlling and a strong analytical mindset, with fluency in Dutch and English (French a plus).

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in controlling, business finance or a similar role.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Solid understanding of business processes, controlling, reporting and accounting.
Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycle for assigned functions.
Monitor actuals versus budget and forecast, identifying risks, deviations and opportunities.
Prepare and explain management reporting and financial performance insights.
Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing, including invoices and accruals.
Act as a proactive finance business partner to senior non-finance stakeholders.
Challenge and advise management on cost efficiency, investments and profitability.
Support strategic planning and translate business priorities into financial plans.
Contribute to finance transformation, process improvement and automation projects.
