Michael Page is seeking a Freelance Commercial Business Controller for a leading international FMCG organization with a strong presence in Belgium and the Netherlands. You will lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, and partner with senior stakeholders to optimize costs and profitability.

The role requires 5+ years in controlling and a strong analytical mindset, with fluency in Dutch and English (French a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in controlling, business finance or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of business processes, controlling, reporting and accounting.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycle for assigned functions.
• Monitor actuals versus budget and forecast, identifying risks, deviations and opportunities.
• Prepare and explain management reporting and financial performance insights.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing, including invoices and accruals.
• Act as a proactive finance business partner to senior non-finance stakeholders.
• Challenge and advise management on cost efficiency, investments and profitability.
• Support strategic planning and translate business priorities into financial plans.
• Contribute to finance transformation, process improvement and automation projects.

As a Freelance Commercial Business Controller, your responsibilities are:

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycle for assigned functions ;

Profiel

A successful Freelance Commercial Business Controller should have:

• Comfortable presenting and challenging financial performance with senior stakeholders ;
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus ;
• Willing to travel occasionally between Belgium and the Netherlands
