Miele is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager (Freelance) for the Western Europe cluster, covering Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and the Netherlands. You will lead a team of accounting professionals, ensure high-quality financial reporting, and collaborate with regional and global finance teams to drive efficiencies and compliance.

Based at HQ Le Blanc-Mesnil (FR) or HQ Mollem (BE) with remote work 2 days/week; 5 days per week, temporary until 31/03/2027, with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of accounting, tax and legal matters in an international context.
• Education in finance and accounting, preferably CFA, CPA, FA or equivalent.
• 5+ years of leadership experience and excellent people management skills.
• Strong business acumen and a commercial mindset.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
• Experience working in a multinational, multi-location and multilingual environment.
• Comfortable operating within a matrix organization with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent command of English and French (C1 level).
• Professional, meticulous and collaborative communication style.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a team across Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the Netherlands.
• Coordinate with local teams, regional finance, SSC in Poland, and global Miele organization.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes with compliant reporting.
• Ensure transfer pricing and intercompany compliance per Group policies.
• Act as Compliance Ambassador for accounting integrity and governance.
• Drive harmonization of financial processes across the cluster.

What you will be doing:

As Accounting Manager, you are responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of financial reporting and projects across the four markets of the cluster: Belgium, Luxemburg, France and the Netherlands. You ensure the quality, reliability and compliance of financial information, while developing a forward-looking perspective for the cluster. You oversee a team of accounting experts and work closely with local teams, regional finance, the international shared service center in Poland, and the global Miele organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of five (3 accounting officers and 2 credit controllers).
• Strengthen capabilities, drive performance, and foster collaboration within the team, with the International Shared Service Center and across departments.
• Lead the month‑end and year‑end closing financial processes .
• Ensure timely, accurate and compliant reporting of financial data (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with Miele guidelines and local legislation.
• Act as the local point of contact for tax, legal and credit management related activities within the cluster.
• Ensure transfer pricing and intercompany compliance in line with Group policies.
• Act as Compliance Ambassador, safeguarding accounting integrity and financial governance.
• Contribute to project design, coordinate central and local stakeholders, and drive harmonization of financial processes across the cluster.
• Deliver pragmatic, value-driven solutions to operational needs.
