Manuchar is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting activities for our Belgian entities from our Antwerp HQ. You will combine strong accounting expertise with people leadership to drive process improvements and contribute to a global finance organization.

You will manage month-/quarter-/year-end close, statutory reporting, VAT/tax compliance, external audits and coaching of your team, while collaborating with stakeholders across our international group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• Leadership and team development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, VAT and corporate income tax.
• Process improvement and change management experience.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting activities of our Belgian entities and contribute to the further professionalization of our Finance organization. Based at our headquarters in Antwerp (Merksem), you will combine strong accounting expertise with people leadership and process improvement. This is an opportunity to make an impact at both an operational and strategic level within an international and entrepreneurial environment.

Your role

As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial reporting of our Belgian entities while leading and developing the accounting team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
• Managing statutory reporting, VAT and tax compliance.
• Coordinating external audits.
• Leading, coaching and developing the accounting team.
• Driving the standardization and optimization of accounting processes.
• Supporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives within Finance.
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the international group.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and developing teams.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP, IFRS, VAT and corporate income tax.
• Experience with process improvement and change management initiatives.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
