Celestia Antwerp BV in Berchem, Belgium is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer (VHDL) to design and implement FPGA subsystems, run simulations, and integrate modules within complex space-grade systems.

The role requires strong VHDL, digital logic knowledge, and experience with FPGA design tools; you will collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers in a highly innovative space environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong VHDL programming and HDL skills.
• Experience with digital logic, timing constraints, and clock domains.
• Familiarity with FPGA design tools (Questa/ModelSim, Intel Quartus).
• Knowledge of Ethernet/SERDES is a plus.
• Ability to write technical documentation.

Tasks And Responsibilities

• Design and implement (in VHDL) the FPGA sub-systems.
• Perform all necessary simulations and verifications (e.g. Questa, Modelsim).
• Integrate FPGA modules into larger system architectures.
• Document the design and test results reached.
• Work closely with hardware, software, and system engineers.
• FPGA troubleshooting activities.
• Participation to conferences.

Qualifications And Experience

• Master's degree in engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Strong VHDL programming skills.
• Understanding of digital logic, timing constraints, clock domains.
• Experience with Intel/Quartus FPGA design suite.
• Experience with Digital Communication Systems & Digital Signal Processing is an asset.
• Experience with Ethernet / high-speed interfaces / SERDES is an asset.
• Knowledge of embedded ARM or synthesized processors is an asset.
• Ability to write technical documentation.
• Motivated, team player, dynamic, sense of ownership and commitment.
