Digital Hardware FPGA Engineer – Tubize, Belgium

Mission
As Digital Hardware Engineer, you will design and develop digital circuits for HF radio, aeronautical and tactical vehicle calculators, and communication devices. Your role covers the complete product life‑cycle from concept to production, ensuring compliance with international standards and in‑house quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop digital products from concept to production, including analysis of customer specifications, subsystem and detailed design.
- Define PCB schematics and guide layout engineers, validate prototypes, perform design integration and qualification, and support transition to production.
- Work with mechanics, layout, components, embedded software, and FPGA engineers.
- Develop new skills in HF/RF product design.
- Operate within an enthusiastic, multi‑disciplinary engineering team and expand your competence.
- Ensure all work meets high‑level international and ISO standards, as well as civil aviation regulations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in electronics‑telecommunication or equivalent.
- Practical experience with board design, analogue and digital techniques, FPGA, and embedded software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills to decompose system‑level requirements into component specifications.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and determine requirements, capacity, and cost for product development.
- Experience designing, developing, analyzing, and testing electrical products to customer specifications.
- Design digital hardware compatible with analog, digital, or mixed‑signal technology.
- Responsibility for new product development tasks (breadboarding, circuit simulation, test procedure documentation, lab guidance).
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with boundary scan testing and reliability/robustness analysis (MTBF, MTTF, worst‑case, part stress, failure‑mode analysis) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of signal integrity is an advantage.
- Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and failure analysis skills.
- Hands‑on laboratory experience with oscilloscope, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for expressing technical concepts verbally and in writing across all management levels.
- Team player with flexibility for international collaboration and project integration stages.
- Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is preferred.
