Job summary

BDO Belgium is seeking a Graduate Consultant FS - Banking Transformation to help banks improve their operational backbone. You will work on payments, onboarding, core banking, and operational excellence, applying Lean and AI/automation to deliver better outcomes.

From day one you will engage with stakeholders, document requirements, and support delivery from planning to deployment. The role offers growth within Banking Transformation and exposure to major Belgian financial institutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support transformation programmes within payments, including business impact, regulations, fraud prevention, and remediation of phishing-alert backlogs; also lending, onboarding and daily banking operations.
• Analyse and redesign business processes using Lean management and identify AI opportunities for greater efficiency and quality.
• Gather and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Contribute to business analyses, process redesign, and target operating models.
• Support project managers in planning, testing, implementation and change activities.
• Develop expertise in banking operations, Lean management, operational excellence, and AI-enabled transformation.

What will you be doing?

As a Graduate Consultant FS - Banking Transformation, you will help banks improve and transform their operational backbone. You will work on projects across payments, lending, daily banking operations, onboarding, core banking, and operational excellence, applying Lean management and using AI and smart automation as enablers for better business outcomes.

Working closely with business stakeholders and transformation teams, you will support clients in improving operational efficiency, quality, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will:

• Support transformation programmes within payments, including the business impact and implementation of new payment regulations, fraud prevention, and the remediation of phishing-alert backlogs, as well as lending, onboarding, and daily banking operations.
• Analyse and redesign business processes using Lean management and operational excellence principles, identifying where AI and smart automation can enable greater efficiency and quality.
• Gather and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Contribute to business analyses, process redesign, and target operating models.
• Support project managers in planning, testing, implementation, and change activities.
• Develop expertise in banking operations, Lean management, operational excellence, and the business‑led use of AI and smart automation.
