Job summary

Walt & Spencer in Belgium seeks a Financial Controller to drive the finance transformation, own product costing and profitability modelling. You partner with operations and supply chain to turn plans into cash flow and working capital forecasts, and ensure inventory valuation matches stock with provisions for slow movers.

You’ll report to the CFO and own end-to-end P&L costs. This role offers growth, 28 days leave and a company car or mobility support, with English fluency plus Dutch or French

Qualifications

• Master in a finance-related field such as accounting or economics.
• 3 to 8 years in controlling.
• Fluent English, with Dutch or French.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance transformation with the CFO, from method and tooling to roll-out across teams.
• Own product costing and keep cost rates current as the business changes.
• Build the profitability model from gross margin to net profit, per product, channel and market, and explain variances in the monthly close.
• Own inventory valuation and ensure books match stock, including provisions for slow movers.
• Turn the operational plan into purchasing, cash flow and working capital forecasts that feed the budget.
• Partner with operations and supply chain on cost-moving choices and turn new models into routines for the teams.
