The EFTA Secretariat in Brussels is seeking a Finance Officer to lead financial control and reporting within the Administration Division. You will coordinate year‑end closures, oversee procurement and travel management, and drive business improvement initiatives.

The EFTA Secretariat serves the four EFTA States – Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland – and has offices in Geneva, Brussels and Luxemburg.
The Administration Division (ADM) provides internal services and support to the whole organisation, including in the fields of facilities management, finance, human resources and information technology.
The position entails hands‑on responsibility for financial control and reporting. The Finance Officer is also expected to be able to lead improvement initiatives within the Administration division.
The financial officer will be a part of the financial department within the administration division and reports directly to the Head of Finance. The department consists of four staff members; the Head of Finance, the Finance Officer and two Finance Coordinators. The financial department is responsible for the financial management of the organization with offices in Brussels, Luxemburg and Geneva, as well as EFTA’s Financial Mechanism Office.

Grade: A4
Annual salary: EUR 112,786.56
Appointments are normally made at the first step of the grade. The Secretary‑General reserves the right to appoint a candidate at a level different from that advertised.
