Job summary

The EFTA Secretariat in Brussels is seeking a Finance Officer to lead financial control and reporting within the Administration Division. You will coordinate year‑end closures, oversee procurement and travel management, and drive business improvement initiatives.

The role may act as Head of Finance when required. With offices in Brussels, Luxemburg and Geneva, the Finance team collaborates across international contexts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
• At least five years of relevant work experience in financial management, accounting, controlling, audit or consulting.
• Solid understanding of accounting, controlling and reporting.
• Knowledge of accounting software and strong MS Excel skills.
• Structured, analytical mindset with initiative.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Financial reporting and analysis.
• Controlling of accounting and coordinating year-end closure.
• Project management of business improvement processes.
• Overseeing procurement, contract and travel management.
• Acting as Head of Finance when necessary.
