Job summary

Spectricity is seeking a Field Application Engineer in Mechelen, Belgium, to be the first technical contact for customers and help integrate multispectral sensing hardware and software.

You will deliver demonstrations, trainings, and technical support, work with R&D and Sales, and travel internationally up to ±20% to support EU and US deployments. A strong electronics/optics background and hands-on problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electronics, optics, or physics (required).
• 5–10 years in a technical role with customer interaction.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, boards, systems, and test equipment.
• Experience with Python, spectral sensing, and optics is a plus.
• Fluency in English and excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical support & customer engagement: Guide customers in integrating our solutions and provide hands-on support.
• Documentation & training: Create technical documentation and deliver training to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Product demonstrations: Deliver convincing product demonstrations at trade shows and customer meetings.
• Application development support: Develop and test algorithms, prototypes, and demos.
• Customer advocacy: Translate customer feedback into valuable input for product development and sales.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with R&D, Engineering, and Sales to refine solutions.
• Industry research: Stay up to date with industry trends and propose innovative applications.
