Job summary

Exosens, a leader in advanced imaging, is seeking a Field Application Engineer to join the sales-driven Advanced Imaging BU in Belgium. You will engage with customers, frame their requirements and propose optimal camera solutions from our portfolio.

The role involves guiding integrations, training customers, and ensuring configurations and image quality before shipping. Travel to client sites and industry shows is expected, including defense events.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in electrical engineering with experience in technical support for high-end vision products.
• Experience in imaging sensors or related industries.
• Strong understanding of vision system platforms across markets; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Meet customers and frame their needs to select the most relevant camera in the portfolio.
• Assist customers with integrating our camera cores into final applications and provide training.
• Ensure correct configurations with the sales team and customers and verify image quality before shipping.
• Support marketing efforts at shows and events including demonstrations and video content creation.

Field Application Engineer within the sales team of Exosens Advanced Imaging BU.

Exosens is a high-tech company, with more than 85 years of experience in the innovation, development, manufacturing and sale of high-end electro-optical technologies in the field of amplification, detection and imaging.

The Advanced Imaging Business Unit offers its customers digital sensors and cameras covering most frequency bands, from UV to infrared.

Scope of the role:

The applications team - part of the sales organization is responsible for providing technical support to both the sales team and customers. Their role involves meeting customers, framing their needs, providing the best solution from our product portfolio and assisting customers with integrating our camera cores into their final applications.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in electrical engineering with experience in Technical Support activities of high-end vision products.
• Experience in imaging sensors or related industries.
• Good understanding of systems and platforms using vision systems across several market segments
• Good communication skills and ability to translate customers' feedback and requirements into a system or component description
• Knowledge of Infrared and optics would be a plus

Objective of the role:

• Need framing of the customer needs
