Agrafresh, a family-owned vegetable producer in West Flanders, Belgium, seeks an agronomist – crop advisor to guide our fields and contract growers from sowing to harvest. You will align field activities with production planning and quality controls.

You will work outdoors, monitor crops, advise on crop protection and fertilisation, and collaborate with our field team to ensure sustainable growth and timely deliveries. Based in Egem (Pittem), Belgian operations emphasize initiative and teamwork.

Qualificações

• Bachelor or master degree in agronomy or related bioscience field.
• Willing to work outdoors, in fields and with contract growers.
• Dutch language required; French and/or English helpful.
• Driving licence (category B).
• Experience as crop advisor or in vegetable growing is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Draw crop plans and follow them through, in line with production schedule.
• Monitor crop development, yield and quality on our own fields.
• Spot diseases, pests and crop risks in time and give targeted advice.
• Carry out soil and crop analyses and translate lab results into fertilisation, irrigation and crop protection recommendations.
• Advise and support contract growers and field team; plan and coach field staff.
• Ensure crop protocols, agreements and certifications are respected.
• Report crop results and improvement points each season.
