VeroTech invites an expert towers calculations engineer to lead calculations and design work for high-voltage transmission towers and related steel structures. You will guide designers, prepare tender inputs, and support field execution with project stakeholders in a hybrid work setting.

Strong structural calculation skills, Eurocode knowledge, and a Master’s degree are required, along with fluent Dutch or French and good English for cross-border collaboration.

Join VeroTech as an expert tower calculations engineer and become part of our community where innovation and people come first. You’ll take on exciting technical challenges and develop your expertise while creating solutions that drive progress across several industries.

As a VeroTech consultant, you will support engineering projects for high-voltage overhead line infrastructure, focusing on the calculation, design and validation of transmission towers and related steel structures. You will work on new structures as well as modifications to existing assets, combining detailed structural analysis with practical project execution support. You will collaborate with project teams, designers, suppliers, contractors and other technical stakeholders to deliver robust engineering studies, procurement input and field support. The role requires strong ownership of technical quality, planning and continuous improvement of calculation methods and software tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead studies and design work for new transmission towers and modifications to existing structures
• Perform specialized structural calculations and plan engineering studies according to project requirements
• Guide internal and external designers in developing accurate calculation models
• Prepare technical input for tender files and contribute to the procurement process
• Validate produced towers and structures at the manufacturer or in a test environment
• Provide technical support for field execution and work preparation with project stakeholders
• Monitor quality, perform controls, report findings and improve calculation rules in software tools

What we're looking for

We are looking for an analytical engineering profile with strong structural calculation skills, a practical mindset and the ability to collaborate across technical project environments.

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architecture or physics
• Affinity with detailed technical studies and specialized engineering activities
• Knowledge and experience in designing steel structures
• Experience with engineering software, 3D design and finite element software
• Familiarity with relevant standards such as Eurocodes
• Strong sense of responsibility, good organizational skills and ability to work well in a team
• Experience in expertise or engineering activities is a plus
• Knowledge of MS Project, VB.NET, VBA scripting or Fortran is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch or French, basic knowledge of the other national language, and good spoken and written English
