Axis Group is seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Officer to shape compliance strategies and support daily operations. You will conduct checks across AML/KYC, GDPR, sanctions, and conflicts of interest, and guide the team in risk mitigation and process optimization.

You'll collaborate with Head of Risk & Compliance and other stakeholders in a dynamic regulatory environment, with a flexible hybrid work setup and a strong emphasis on wellbeing and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law is required.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
• Experience in compliance or legal settings with AML/KYC knowledge is advantageous.
• Process-oriented with attention to detail and ability to improve workflows.
• Strong ownership, analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with legal professionals.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and execution of the organization’s Risk & Compliance strategy.
• Carry out daily compliance checks and processes, including client onboarding, managing conflicts of interest, KYC/AML procedures, DAC6 compliance, market abuse regulations, GDPR adherence, and monitoring international sanctions.
• Analyze potential risks systematically and assist in formulating suitable mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present structured reports regarding compliance issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Serve as a senior resource within the team, offering guidance and overseeing team activities.
• Assist in implementing a compliance and client onboarding tool while evaluating internal workflows and controls to align with the latest legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and raise awareness through various initiatives.
• Work closely with the Head of Risk & Compliance and other stakeholders to ensure the consistent and efficient implementation of the organization’s compliance framework.

Qualifications

• Possesses a Master’s degree in Law.
• Is fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
• Has pertinent experience in a compliance or legal setting, with a solid understanding of AML/KYC considered a significant advantage.
• Exhibits a process‑oriented mindset, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and the capability to enhance and organize workflows effectively.
