Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Compliance Officer (m/f/x) for one of its clients in the insurance sector. Based in Brussels, this role focuses on safeguarding integrity and ensuring regulatory and ethical compliance across the organization.

You will report to the Head of Compliance, collaborate with the CRO and internal stakeholders to strengthen controls, assess risks, and provide strategic advice to various departments.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field (Law, Economics, Finance, IT) required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a compliance or audit department in financial services or insurance.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations related to insurance and risk management.
• Fluency: Dutch or French native, good knowledge of the other national language and English.
• Team player with independence, assertiveness and strong critical thinking.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present and defend ideas.

Your day-to-day responsibilities

As a Compliance Officer (m/f/x), you will join the Compliance Central Office. Reporting to the Head of Compliance and working closely with the CRO, your mission will be to safeguard the company's integrity and reputation by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Actively collaborating with a network of internal stakeholders to strengthen the effectiveness of compliance controls.
• Identifying and analyzing compliance risks in close cooperation with the Head of Compliance.
• Providing strategic advice to various departments on compliance-related matters.
• Overseeing first-line control processes and ensuring their effectiveness.
• Contributing to the development of action plans and monitoring programs in partnership with internal departments.
• Ensuring that policies remain up to date in line with legal and regulatory developments.

We are looking for a passionate professional with at least some relevant experience, who is eager to take on challenges in a dynamic environment. Does the following describe you?

• You hold a university degree in a relevant field (Law, Economics, Finance, IT, or equivalent).
• You have at least 2 years of experience in a compliance or audit department within the financial services and/or insurance sector.
• You possess a strong understanding of financial regulations, particularly those related to insurance and risk management.
• You are Dutch or French native, with a good command of the other national language and English.
• You are a team player who can work independently, demonstrates assertiveness, and has strong critical thinking skills.
• You have excellent communication skills and are able to present and defend your ideas effectively.
