Oceanwide is seeking an Experienced Wind Technician to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of wind turbines. You will conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and support electrical and mechanical tasks on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the wind industry as a technician with a foundation in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance.
• Hydraulic experience is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Fluency in English; Dutch or French proficiency is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license (Class B or B-E) is essential.

Responsabilités

• Conducting preventive maintenance and regular inspections of wind turbines and components, adhering to safety regulations and work instructions.
• Troubleshooting and repairing faults to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Assembling components and main parts following established procedures, including crane use if needed.
• Participating in workplace safety inspections on job sites.
• Performing electrical tasks, including connections, fault analysis, and maintenance.
• Handling mechanical duties such as assembly and maintenance of components.
• Submitting material and service requests in consultation with the regional foreman and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Providing on-site support for projects and assisting suppliers as needed.
• Completing administrative tasks, including service reports and records of materials used.

As an Experienced Wind Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of wind turbines. Your main duties will include:

• Conducting preventive maintenance and regular inspections of wind turbines and components, adhering to all safety regulations and work instructions.
• Troubleshooting and repairing faults to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
• Assembling components and main parts in compliance with established procedures, including the safe use of internal or external cranes if needed.
• Participating in workplace safety inspections on job sites.
• Performing a range of electrical tasks, including electrical connections, fault analysis, and maintenance.
• Handling various mechanical duties such as assembly and maintenance of mechanical components.
• Submitting requests for necessary materials and specialized services in consultation with the regional foreman, while ensuring that all team members comply with quality, safety, environmental, and technical standards.
• Providing on-site support for specialized projects and assisting suppliers as needed.
• Completing administrative tasks, such as creating service reports and keeping accurate records of materials used for each turbine.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Proven experience in the wind industry as a technician, with a foundation in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance.
• Additional hydraulic experience is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Fluency in English, Dutch or French proficiency is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license (Class B or B-E) is essential.
