Job summary

ING Belgium is seeking a Head of Interest Rate & Financial Markets Risk to lead the IRRBB function, shaping the balance sheet strategy and ensuring resilience. You will be a second-line risk leader, providing challenge to Business and Treasury, while aligning with risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

You will build and lead a high-performing team, engage regulators such as the NBB and ECB, and influence strategic decisions within ING Belgium and Group.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics, Actuarial Sciences, or a related field.
• CFA and/or FRM qualifications are considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Shape and oversee ING Belgium’s IRRBB framework with robust governance and risk management practices.
• Lead a high-performing risk team and coordinate with Balance Sheet Risk and group functions.
• Provide independent, timely challenge to Business and Treasury on balance sheet strategy, hedging, and risk models.
