Job summary

PER is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Pan-European Consumer-focused Private Equity team in Brussels. The role involves origination support, financial analysis, due diligence, and portfolio value creation across FMCG, health, and digital retail sectors.

Fluency in English is required; other European languages are advantageous. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in investment banking, consulting, or private equity, with strong modelling and a genuine interest in consumer brands.

Qualifications

• Experience in investment banking, consulting, or private equity.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Genuine interest in consumer brands and FMCG sectors.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail.
• Self-starter mentality, comfortable operating with autonomy in a lean team.

Responsibilities

• Support origination efforts, including market mapping and outreach to founders and intermediaries.
• Conduct financial analysis, valuation, and modelling for prospective investments.
• Perform commercial, market and competitive due diligence on target companies.
• Prepare investment memos and presentation materials for internal investment committee review.
• Support portfolio companies with ad hoc strategic, financial or operational requests.
• Track portfolio company performance and assist with periodic reporting.
• Attend management meetings and contribute to deal team discussions.
• Build and maintain relationships with founders, co-investors, bankers and advisors.
• Monitor sector trends across FMCG, health, consumer technology and lifestyle to inform deal sourcing.
