Job summary

FSTEU - FIRST STOP EUROPE in Belgium is seeking an EU Retail Financial Controller to safeguard the accuracy, integrity and compliance of financial reporting across the EMEA retail business. You will coordinate month-end close, ensure IFRS compliance and support audits.

Reporting to the EMEA Retail Finance Director, you will partner with regional finance teams, Tax, Treasury and legal, providing financial insights and leading improvements in controls and reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance,Accounting, Economics or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of multinational and multi-entity experience.
• Experience in financial controlling, statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance and internal controls.
• Experience in decentralised, matrix organisations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close across retail entities and prepare management accounts and KPIs.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and statutory accounting, tax and legal requirements.
• Coordinate audits and strengthen internal controls.
• Partner with regional finance teams, Shared Service Centre, Tax and Treasury on reporting and compliance.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning with financial insights.
• Prepare financial information and recommendations for senior executives and boards.
• Assess business cases, benchmarking, revenue modelling and turnaround initiatives.
• Provide financial input to cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc analyses.
• Mentor retail finance colleagues and foster standardisation and data quality.
