UCB S.A. in Brussels, Belgium, seeks an EU Regulatory Science Lead to drive regulatory strategy for EU regions across development, approval and lifecycle management.

You will be the primary EU liaison for health authority interactions, including EMA, coordinating with global and regional teams to enable timely submissions. The role requires a strong background in EU regulatory affairs, cross-functional influence, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, law or related regulatory field.
• Strong experience in EU regulatory affairs, including development, marketing authorisations and lifecycle management.
• Understanding of EU regulatory frameworks, procedures and health authority expectations.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory information into clear recommendations for diverse audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across functions, cultures and organizational boundaries with evidence-based credibility.
• Interest in digital tools, data science and AI in regulatory science.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement EU regulatory strategies aligned with business objectives and global plans.
• Coordinate EU submission activities compliant with regulations, timelines and strategies.
• Identify and manage EU regulatory risks, proposing actionable mitigation options.
• Serve as the key EU contact for assigned products, including EMA and national agencies.
• Communicate regulatory plans, risks and updates to leadership, affiliates and cross-functional teams.
• Stay informed on evolving EU regulations and their impact on product plans.
