European Boating Industry (EBI) seeks a Regulatory Affairs Officer to monitor EU regulatory developments affecting recreational boating, advise the team, and advocate with EU institutions. You will coordinate with the Executive Committee and ICOMIA, lead EU-funded project activities, and help produce communications and educational materials.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field, ~2 years of EU policy experience, fluent English, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Around 2 years of EU regulatory experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English; other languages desirable.
• Passion for boating is a plus.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills.
• Ability to work with industry experts and policy makers.
• Pro-active self-starter with focus on prioritisation.
• Excellent project management with multiple parallel projects.
• Ability to translate technical input into clear policy messages.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsabilités

• Monitor, analyse and advise on EU regulatory developments relevant to recreational boating.
• Advocate with EU institutions; draft briefs and position papers.
• Engage with EU institutions, agencies, expert groups and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with EBI Executive Committee, Task forces and members as regulatory contact.
• Coordinate with International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) to share EU regulatory developments.
• Lead technical work on EU-funded projects, including underwater noise.
• Support development of communication, events and educational materials.
• Collaborate with the Secretary-General and team on other topics.
• Contribute to environmental regulation and sustainability efforts.
• Prepare input for regulatory consultations and briefings.
