Job summary

EdgeConneX is seeking an experienced EU policy professional to monitor and analyze EU and national legislation affecting data center development, construction, and energy procurement across Europe. You will develop and execute policy strategies, represent the company in policy forums, and work with cross-functional teams to align regulatory impact with business goals.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in EU policy, public affairs, regulatory affairs, or government relations
• Strong understanding of EU legislative processes and institutional dynamics
• Familiarity with major EU policy files such as the Energy Efficiency Directive, AI Act, Data Act, Green Deal
• Excellent ability to translate regulatory developments into clear outputs for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Monitor EU and national policy developments relevant to data center development, construction, operations, and energy procurement across Europe.
• Develop and execute EU and national policy strategies aligned with business priorities and ensure access to permits and power.
• Engage with lawmakers, regulators, and stakeholders at EU and national level; represent the company in policy committees and coalitions across Europe.
• Coordinate with internal teams (Development, Energy Procurement, Engineering, Public Affairs, Sustainability) to assess regulatory impact and align strategy.
• Prepare policy briefs, horizon scans, white papers, talking points, and materials for external engagements.
