Agora Energiewende seeks a Project Manager Budget and Finance for Europe’s Decarbonisation. The role focuses on researching funding needs for the energy transition, analysing EU instruments, and coordinating projects with partners.

Based in Brussels with regular in-person presence and a hybrid work setup. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in policy analysis or consulting, a Master’s in a relevant field, and strong quantitative and communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in policy analysis, consulting, or applied research
• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (economics or related)
• Strong understanding of the EU budget (MFF) and funding instruments, with deeper expertise in at least one
• Strong quantitative skills in analysing budgets, investments, and funding instruments
• Established networks in European policy and key member states
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to target groups
• Proven ability to support complex analytic research and deliver high-quality output
• A collaborative, intercultural team player with strong communication skills
• Fluent English (C2) and another EU language

Responsabilités

• Conduct research and analysis on funding and investment needs for Europe’s decarbonisation
• Analyse instruments and revenue sources for targeted funding deployment
• Provide oversight for research projects with internal and external partners
• Monitor EU funding instruments and policy developments at EU level
• Engage stakeholders and expand networks in Agora’s discussions
• Collaborate across teams to connect EU-level discourse with member states
