Job summary

Future Cleantech Architects (FCA) seeks a Policy Officer for Energy Systems to shape EU initiatives in renewables, grids, and energy storage. Based remotely from Brussels, you will analyze market designs, collaborate with the Policy Director, and draft policy briefs and amendments.

You will present findings to non-technical stakeholders, participate in coalitions and events, and work with FCA's international team to promote evidence-based policy solutions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in policy, economics, energy policy or related field.
• 3–4 years of work experience.
• Strong expertise in EU Electricity Market Design.
• Excellent analytical, research and communication skills.
• English fluency; eligible to work in Belgium.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze EU electricity market design reforms and state aid frameworks.
• Prepare policy briefs, reports, and amendments.
• Collaborate with FCA's Cleantech Analyst team to translate technical findings into policy recommendations.
• Develop messaging for policy documents and articles.
• Support events and coalitions related to energy systems.
