The Jacques Delors Friends of Europe Foundation seeks a Communications Executive to support the One Europe, One Market campaign. The role focuses on press and media engagement, coordinating media events, and managing content for social media and the Foundation's website.

You will work under the Campaign Manager, engaging EU and national press, crafting messages, and ensuring consistent external communications across JDFoE units.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in communications, public affairs or media relations, with experience in European policy or institutional communications.
• Proven experience managing social media channels for a policy organisation, think tank, foundation or campaign.
• Strong writing and editorial skills; ability to simplify complex political or economic issues, both in writing and visually.
• Excellent mastery of English; additional EU languages a significant asset given the cross-border nature of the campaign.
• Experience in working with EU-focused and national media; experience pitching and placing stories with quality press and specialist EU outlets a plus.
• Previous experience with Cision or similar is a must; Canva design capabilities to produce basic visuals is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute media strategies for roadshow events, including outreach to EU and national press, press releases and media packs.
• Manage accreditation and on-site press logistics for events; provide real-time media support and rapid response.
• Build and maintain journalist databases covering Single Market and EU beats, with EU outlets and national journalists.
• Monitor media coverage, prepare press reviews and maintain a record of articles featuring the campaign.
• Contribute to wider strategic discussions on media performance and plan proactive press moments.
• Coordinate media requests and interview scheduling for key spokespersons; liaise with their teams.
• Develop and maintain key messages for the Foundation and OEOM roadshow with updates aligned to EU milestones.
