European Movement International seeks a Senior Strategic Communications Manager to strengthen ETF’s voice in European debates and to shape engaging narratives around transport policy and workers’ rights across Europe.

You will design campaigns, coordinate media outreach, and oversee digital comms while collaborating with ETF leadership and member organisations to ensure consistent messaging and impactful public communication.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in strategic communications, political communications, campaigning or a similar senior communications role.
• Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and campaigns.
• Strong experience in media relations and working with journalists.
• Excellent written and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex political and policy issues into clear, accessible messages.
• Experience with advocacy, campaigning or movement-building communications and/or EU policy communications.
• Experience working in a European environment; knowledge of EU Institutions and Brussels media is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement communication strategies in close cooperation with ETF leadership and policy teams.
• Translate ETF’s political priorities into clear, audience-focused messages and campaigns.
• Provide strategic communication advice on sensitive political issues.
• Coordinate communication campaigns from planning to implementation with stakeholders.
• Develop internal communication flows to strengthen coordination across the organization.
• Draft and edit press releases, statements, briefings, articles and newsletters for targeted distribution.
• Advise ETF representatives on media engagement and messaging.
