CDH Professionals is seeking an experienced Enterprise & Solution Architect to support complex technology initiatives in Brussels. The role combines business insight with technical architecture across applications, cloud, data and security.

You will translate requirements into enterprise and solution architectures, define current- and target-state roadmaps and provide architectural guidance throughout projects in a hybrid, long-term freelance engagement.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise & Solution Architect to support complex technology initiatives within an established organisation in Brussels.

The role suits an architect with a broad technical background who can connect business needs with technology, shape practical solutions and work across different technology domains.

Your responsibilities

• Translate business and technical requirements into enterprise and solution architectures.


• Define current- and target-state architectures and technology roadmaps.


• Develop and maintain architecture principles, standards and documentation.


• Design scalable, secure and sustainable solutions across different technology domains.


• Assess existing environments and identify opportunities for improvement and modernisation.


• Evaluate technology and architectural options and support technical decision-making.


• Work with business stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers and other architects.


• Provide architectural guidance throughout projects and transformation initiatives.


• Identify architectural risks, dependencies and constraints.

Your profile

• Several years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, IT Architect, Technical Architect or similar.


• Broad experience across enterprise IT environments.


• Strong background in architecture, solution design and technical consultancy.


• Comfortable working across multiple technology domains, such as applications, cloud, infrastructure, data, integration and security.


• Experience translating business requirements into practical, scalable solutions.


• Understanding of architecture governance, standards and documentation.


• Familiarity with common enterprise technologies such as Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, VMware, Windows/Linux, networking, databases, APIs and integration platforms.


• Strong stakeholder and communication skills.


• Able to combine strategic thinking with a solid technical understanding.


• English required; Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
