Job summary

Salt seeks an experienced AI Architect to join a major Belgian federal public-sector organisation on a 12-month freelance assignment. The role focuses on defining and maintaining the enterprise AI architecture to enable secure, responsible, and scalable adoption of Generative AI, ML, and agentic AI.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or IT Architecture within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, Machine Learning and AI platform architectures.
• Experience within the Belgian public sector or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architectures for Generative AI, ML and AI agents.
• Establish architectural standards for cloud, on-premises and hybrid AI environments.
• Translate regulatory and security requirements into architectural principles and controls.
• Guide delivery teams through architectural decisions and ADRs.
