Qover in Brussels is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide a core product engineering team, balancing people leadership with hands-on technical credibility. You will own delivery quality, production ownership and close collaboration with Product and Design to ship embedded insurance experiences across Europe.

You will mentor engineers, set technical standards, and build scalable architectures while maintaining a focus on security, observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience with strong design judgment.
• Hands-on with modern stacks; familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js/React/MongoDB is common at Qover.
• Experience leading production systems and managing cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Own engineering outcomes end-to-end from discovery to deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering growth and accountability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and other stakeholders to translate requirements into robust software solutions.
• Promote AI-native engineering practices with guardrails and human review.
