Job summary

Arbalett in Belgium seeks a Tool Designer & Technical Support Engineer to own the design cycle from 3D modelling to first production trials. You will provide technical advisory support to commercial teams and clients and interact directly on technical aspects.

The role emphasises a hands‑on, autonomous approach within a close-knit team on a high‑value niche. The position includes a full one-year internal training programme across Europe, a CDI contract at 40 hours per week, and a compensation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, materials science or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in CAD/DAO for tooling and precision mechanics.
• Proficiency with 3D modelling software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor).
• Familiarity with thermal/structural simulations (Ansys, Comsol).
• Metrological rigour and tolerance management; strong client communication.
• Trilingual NL/EN/FR in the Belgian/global context.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end 3D tooling design from specs to first workshop trials.
• Participate in sampling and pre-series within the production workshop.
• Validate tools using high-precision measuring instruments.
• Design optimized geometric solutions balancing performance and feasibility.
• Contribute thermal and mechanical simulations to validate designs.
• Provide technical support to commercial teams and clients.
• Interact with clients on technical aspects via phone/Teams/on-site.
• Build autonomy through the full design cycle from modelling to field trials.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design and validation processes.
