Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Antwerp seeks an Export Freight Forwarder to manage export shipments from start to finish, ensuring smooth execution and high customer satisfaction. You will validate orders, plan shipments, prepare documentation, liaise with customers and carriers, and monitor progress to prevent deviations.

Fluency in Dutch, plus knowledge of French and English, and strong MS Office/TMS skills are essential. A proactive, customer-focused team player will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience.
• Experience in freight forwarding (export is a plus).
• Fluent in Dutch, with knowledge of French and English (logistics terminology).
• Good knowledge of MS Office and TMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate customer export orders in the TMS in line with quotations and SOPs.
• Plan and coordinate export shipments considering transit times, costs, and operational constraints.
• Prepare and verify export documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, export customs docs, etc.).
• Liaise with customers, carriers, agents, and suppliers to ensure timely shipment execution.
• Arrange bookings with carriers (air, sea, or multimodal) in collaboration with Middle Office.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively inform stakeholders of any deviations.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate data in the TMS and generate required transport documents.
• Prepare invoices and ensure all cost postings are correctly registered.
• Provide updates and reports to customers and management.
