Defence Organisation is seeking a Project Manager to drive projects from initial business case to delivered capability within its PMO. You will own end-to-end delivery, ensuring time, cost and quality are met across multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities include planning, procurement strategy, and governance, plus leading teams and coordinating with stakeholders to secure sponsorship and funding. Experience in IT transformation and defence-related contexts is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with six years of relevant experience.
• Formal project management qualification (PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP) or demonstrated expertise.
• At least three years of project management in a large IT organisation with substantial investments.
• Experience of large digital transformation work in the public sector or international organisation.
• Working knowledge of agile delivery, change management, business process modelling, cloud, data science, cyber security.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to brief senior audiences well.
• Nice to have: ITIL Foundation, PM tooling and automation such as ServiceNow or an ERP, MoP or MSP, procurement procedures, and international experience.

Responsabilités

• Planning, running and managing assigned projects against the organisation's project management policies and procedures.
• Building the procurement strategy, benefit and risk analysis and the business case to win sponsor agreement and funding.
• Running the quality assurance work that decides whether a capability or service is fit to hand over.
• Understanding client needs, collecting data, analyses and resolving problems.
• Identifying, planning and allocating resources a milestone needs, and taking corrective action when schedules slip.
• Leading project teams and individuals, directly or in a matrix, with realistic plans and transparent communication.
• Supporting other teams on project management work and providing technical support activities.
