Job summary
Tractebel, part of the ENGIE Group, is expanding its power system activities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The role focuses on leading large, multidisciplinary studies for Middle East clients, coordinating across international teams, and contributing to grid code development.
The team is a centre of excellence for power systems within ENGIE. The position offers hybrid work options, a competitive package, and opportunities to grow within the ENGIE Group.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power System engineering
- 4+ years of experience in power system studies
- Fluent English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Knowledge of phasor-type simulations and EMT modelling is a plus
- Ability to structure a project with clear tasks and manage stakeholders
- Willingness to travel globally for short or mid-term missions
Responsibilities
- Manage large power system projects for Key Clients in the EMEA region with a focus on Middle East clients
- Take an expert role on the activities from conception to delivery and junior coaching
- Contribute to commercial activities of power system transmission services
- Dynamic analysis, generator/demand connection studies
- HVDC technology including control and operational aspects
- System protections and special protection schemes
- EMT modelling and analysis
- Managing stakeholders and structuring client needs into technical reports
