Sabca Brussels seeks an experienced Design Engineer Embedded System to join the Actuation Systems division. You will develop, maintain and validate VHDL designs for FPGA/ASIC in aeronautical/aerospace applications, and contribute to certification processes.

You should hold a master’s degree in electronics/software, with at least 5 years in VHDL design and strong knowledge of embedded systems, DO-254/ECSS, and toolchains like ModelSim and Synplify. English/French/Dutch skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electronics, microelectronics or software engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in VHDL design in an industrial environment, ideally subject to DO-254 or ECSS.

Responsabilités

• Specify a design to be implemented on FPGA/ASIC, based on higher-level requirements specifications.
• Describe the architecture.
• Implement the solution in VHDL.
• Perform engineering tests of the implementation.
• Perform formal (top-level) tests by simulation or on-board testing of components developed by other team members.
• Participate in milestones/audits conducted by authorities (EASA, ESA) or by our customers.
• Maintain and improve engineering development standards (internal processes, guidelines).
• Ensure compliance with EN9100 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Transfer skills to new team members and foster continuous learning.
