Job summary

Médiane Benelux is seeking a Software Leader to join the international team delivering mission-critical embedded software for major railway signaling projects, including ERTMS. You will shape software architecture, lead technical decisions, and ensure integration across rail systems with a focus on safety-critical transport solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Software, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar).

You will be part of an international and dynamic team, contributing to the development of mission-critical embedded systems for major railway signaling projects, including ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System).

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Leader, you will play a central role in the design and development of embedded software solutions. Your main tasks will include:

• Participating in the definition of software specifications and architecture in collaboration with rail system experts.
• Defining and managing technical specifications and subsystem requirements.
• Supporting and contributing to the development processes, tools, and methods.
• Providing technical support to the integration team.
• Actively contributing to the development of software for tomorrow's transportation systems.

Profile / Requirements

Your Profile – Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Software, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development with C/C++ and/or working in Linux environments.
• Prior experience or a strong interest in taking on a leadership role.
• Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.

Nice To Have

Familiarity with version control systems (ideally Git or GitLab).

Strong engineering fundamentals: graph reading, SI units, kinematics, etc.
