IBA Worldwide in Belgium is seeking an Automation Safety Engineer to join the Engineering & Supply Chain team in Louvain-la-Neuve. You’ll contribute to lifecycle phases of product development, including upgrade management and new site deployments.

You will support automation safety activities, document control systems, write tests, develop software solutions, deploy on site, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Travel up to 10% internationally.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering or automation equivalent.
2–3 years automation engineer experience in projects.
Automation safety experience preferred.
Analytical mindset with ability to provide efficient solutions while meeting schedule.
Team player with a creative mindset.
Experience with SCADA (Archestra, PCVue).
Willing to learn new technologies and software methods.
PLC & Safety PLC programming (Siemens STEP7 and TIA Portal, B&R).
Industrial protocols: Profibus-DP, PROFINET, S7.
Willing to travel 10% internationally.

Responsabilités

Support automation safety activities, including risk assessments and safety compliance.
Document the control system implementation.
Write, execute and maintain unit tests and integration tests.
Develop software solutions by understanding and challenging business needs.
Deploy and upgrade control systems on site and in factory.
Provide workload and deadline estimations.
Review outcomes and propose improvements; support team with expertise.
Follow IBA rules and propose improvements.
