Vivid Resourcing partnered with an innovative technology company to recruit an Embedded Linux Engineer to join their R&D team near Brussels. The role focuses on developing the embedded software stack for high-performance autonomous robotics platforms, with emphasis on real-time perception, edge AI, and video processing.

You will collaborate with robotics, AI, and hardware engineers to design, implement, and optimize C/C++ applications, build custom Linux distributions with Yocto/Buildroot, and

Qualifications

• Strong experience in C/C++ embedded software development.
• Experience with embedded Linux.
• Knowledge of Yocto and/or Buildroot.
• Experience with Linux device drivers and system programming.
• Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson or ARM-based embedded systems.
• Experience debugging embedded software on Linux.
• Ability to work in an agile software development environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop embedded software primarily in C and modern C++.
• Build and maintain custom Linux distributions using Yocto and Buildroot.
• Develop software for NVIDIA Jetson-based embedded computing platforms.
• Integrate hardware peripherals, sensors, cameras, and communication interfaces.
• Optimise embedded Linux systems for performance, reliability, and low latency.
• Work on embedded video capture, streaming, and image processing pipelines.
• Support Edge AI deployment and optimisation on embedded hardware.
• Debug low-level software and hardware interactions.
• Collaborate with robotics, electronics, computer vision, and AI teams throughout product development.
• Contribute to software architecture, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
