Job summary

Médiane Benelux is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join the Software Engineering team working on secure communications for military applications. You will integrate a TCP/IP stack and secure protocols into a family of embedded devices.

The role involves design, testing, and refactoring to improve maintainability, with an emphasis on cross‑functional collaboration and rigorous validation. Fluency in English is required; French is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in C and C++ embedded development.
• Experience with STM32 M4 MPU family.
• Good understanding of real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS) and microcontrollers.
• Proven experience in embedded software engineering.
• Experience with hardware/software integration.
• Good knowledge of low-level drivers and device interfaces.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, or mission-critical environments is a strong asset.
• Fluent in English.
• French is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C/C++.
• Integrate networking stacks and secure protocols into embedded devices.
• Refactor software architecture to improve maintainability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Perform testing and validation: unit, integration, system tests.
• Conduct code reviews and identify vulnerabilities.
• Maintain clear design, spec, and test documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal processes.
