imec invites applications for an R&D Engineer Electroplating to strengthen its advanced nano-interconnects, quantum computing and 3D-stacked IC technology research efforts in Leuven, Belgium. You will perform research and develop new processes in a dynamic multidisciplinary setting, collaborating with researchers, hardware engineers, process experts, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MSc in Chemistry, Materials Science or Engineering.
• Ability to work independently with a focus on quality.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Strong in-person and written communication in a multicultural environment.

• Flexible attitude due to varied activities and interactions.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).

Responsabilités

• Design, conduct and analyze experiments and results
• Perform post-plating characterization, interpret and report results
• Coordinate non-standard development work in IMEC’s fab with fab process engineers and partners
• Actively contribute to technology transfers, research programs and joint development programs with external partners
• Interface with integration engineers and imec partner companies
• Take in questions from customers, and actively follow up
• Collect information from your peers, summarize and transfer to the partner companies
• Report about your work to internal and external partners
