Absolute Jobs Oostende is seeking an independent Ship Electrician to carry out electrical maintenance and repair work on ships. You will work on different vessels at the workshop in Ostend and on-site across West Flanders, starting on site and operating independently on planned tasks.

Responsibilities include electrical tests/inspections, disconnecting components from engines, troubleshooting faults, and proactively finding effective solutions in a dynamic maritime environment.

As a SHIP ELECTRICIAN, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out electrical maintenance and repair work on ships;
• Working on different ships, both at the workshop in Ostend and on-site throughout West Flanders;
• Starting on site and working independently on the planned tasks;
• Performing electrical tests and inspections;
• Disconnecting electrical components and wiring from engines;
• Troubleshooting electrical faults and finding suitable solutions;
• Carrying out electrical interventions and repairs;
• Actively thinking along with technical challenges and independently looking for solutions.
