Vulcain Engineering Group Belgium seeks an Electrical Hardware Engineer to design electrical and pneumatic systems for advanced industrial equipment in a Life Sciences setting. You will handle component selection, 3D cabinet layouts and testing, and ensure compliance with safety requirements.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to design reviews and risk assessments, and help prepare documentation while adhering to standards such as IEC-61010/60204-1 and GAMP5

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electromechanics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hardware design, electrical engineering or industrial automation experience.
• Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 or similar tools.
• Experience designing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of electrical component sizing, power calculations and control cabinet design.
• Prototype panel assembly experience; BA4/BA5 certifications are a strong asset.
• Good knowledge of industrial electrical standards and machine compliance requirements.
• Understanding of GAMP5 principles from requirements through testing.
• Experience participating in risk assessments and multidisciplinary reviews.
• Fluent English is mandatory; Dutch or French appreciated.

Responsabilités

• Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and pneumatic systems.
• Select components, perform power calculations and define technical solutions.
• Develop and review electrical cabinet designs and 3D layouts.
• Support prototype panel assembly and ensure safety certifications.
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards and CE requirements.
• Collaborate with automation, software, process and mechanical teams.
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
• Assist in verification, testing and commissioning activities.
• Prepare engineering documentation and technical files.
