Job summary
Vulcain Engineering Group in Belgium seeks an Electrical Hardware Engineer to design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and pneumatic systems using EPLAN Electric P8. You will select components, perform power calculations and develop 3D cabinet layouts while collaborating with automation, software, process and mechanical teams.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years in hardware design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of hardware design experience in electrical engineering or industrial automation.
- Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 or similar tools.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and pneumatic systems.
- Develop and review electrical cabinet designs and 3D layouts.
- Support prototype panel assembly and ensure safety/certification compliance.
- Perform power calculations and select components per project requirements.
- Collaborate with automation, software, process and mechanical teams.
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments.
- Support verification, testing and commissioning activities.
