Job summary

Jobat, a leading Belgian manufacturer in the machine-building sector, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the electrical hardware design lifecycle. You will ensure compliance with EN 60204, Machinery Directive, EMC and LVD, and collaborate with mechanical and software engineers from concept through production.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences (Electromechanics / Electrotechnics) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in machine building.
• Strong proficiency in EPLAN P8; hands-on with EPLAN ProPanel; familiarity with European electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Concept & Project Planning: participate in multidisciplinary design meetings and set realistic project milestones.
• Electrical Design: translate descriptions into hardware guidelines and create schematics in EPLAN P8; design 3D layouts in ProPanel.
• Standards & Compliance: ensure designs comply with EN 60204, Machinery Directive, EMC, LVD.
• ERP & Production Follow-Up: create/update ERP work orders and monitor electrical assembly on site.
• Standardization & Mentorship: develop and improve electrical design guidelines; mentor colleagues.
