Comate Engineering & Design is seeking a junior electrical design engineer to join a multidisciplinary team. You will help develop innovative products and machinery, focusing on electrical control panels, hardware selection, and safety compliance.
You will work with Bechhoff TwinCAT or similar PLC platforms, read schematics, and support commissioning and testing. The role offers hybrid work options in Leuven/Ghent with on-site and home office flexibility.

We currently are looking for a talented and passionate junior electrical design engineer like you, who can develop new, disruptive products together with our clients. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers on the development of innovative products and machinery. The aim of our passionate team is to cooperate with our clients in order to develop a unique product that is more advanced than anything that is currently available on the market. As a junior electrical design engineer, you will support different automation and machinery projects.
As a junior electrical design engineer, you are responsible for:
You are fascinated by technology, engineering, and robotics.
You have a bachelor degree in Electrical Automation or alike.
A first experience in automation is a plus.
You have a good understanding of electrical control panels and you are able to read electrical schematics.
You have knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT or other PLC platforms.
You are very hands‑on and pragmatic.
You are flexible, you have no problems with adapting new plans. Product development is fun, but also unpredictable.
You can handle pressure because honestly, we work hard.
