Tein Technology in Brussels seeks an automation engineer to drive SCADA projects, encompassing virtual PLC implementations, lab prep, installation at client sites, and training for users and admins.

The role emphasizes functional analysis with clients, upgrades on existing installations, and collaboration with the I&D team on new blocks. A strong automation background and Dutch/English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Industrial engineer or Bachelor’s degree in automation preferred.
• Proficient in Windows .NET GUI development (C#) and SQL Server.
• +3 years in automation domain (SCADA, automated SW testing) a big plus.
• Network knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Implementation of projects based on virtual PLC and SCADA.
• Development of PLC & Scada programs in the XamControl Framework.
• Prepare future installations in lab environment.
• Installation and commissioning of the solution at the customer’s site.
• User and Administrator training sessions.
• Identify, log, describe, escalate and follow up until resolution all issues arising during project implementation.
• Documentation of the installation (As built/user manual).
• Act as technical expert towards the customer: listen, understand and communicate with the client on requirements and make a functional analysis.
• Perform upgrades and extensions on existing installations.
• Interact with the I&D team on the design; built and tests (functional/performance) of new functional blocks.
• Reverse engineering of existing installations.
• Execute first line corrective maintenance 24H/7D within the SCADA software application.
• Update site documentation after intervention (software release, installed base...).
• Participate in tests setups required for demo, exposition and/or product validation.

You will be part of the Innovation and development department. Together with your colleagues, you will be technically responsible for the implementation of automation projects at the client such as the TunnelMonitoring Centre of Antwerp. You will train yourself into the fundamentals of our automation platformand other new technologies.

What you'll do...

Project Based:

• Implementation of projects based on virtual PLC and SCADA:
  • Development of PLC & Scada programs in the XamControl Framework

What we’re looking for...

Education, Knowledge & Work Experience

• Industrial engineer or experienced Bachelor preferably with a specialization in automation
• Passionate about GUI Software development in a Windows .net environment (C#), objectoriented programming, using SQL server as a database
• +3 years or more professional experience in the automation domain (SCADA software, automated SW testing) is a big plus
• Network knowledge is a plus

Skills

• Fluent in Dutch and English. Good knowledge of French is a plus
